ADHD Traits

These are some of the things I hear from the clients I coach, both ADHD and non-ADHD:

  • I have so many ideas, I don't know where to start. I get really excited about them but then don't end up doing anything with them.
  • I procrastinate and wait Till the last minute.
  • I am often shocked by how I come across two other people sometimes; I feel very misunderstood
  • I have been called dramatic and overly emotional
  • sometimes I over react
  • I feel like I am not living up to my potential
  • I speak before I think sometimes
  • I walk from the living room to the kitchen to get something that gets sidetracked along the way and forget what I went to the kitchen for
  • I often lose things like my keys or my wallet or purse
  • I get distracted very easily sometimes
  • by contrast, sometimes I get so absorbed in a project that I lose all track of time, space and other people.
  • It's hard for me to let go of things mentally and oftentimes I will ruminate about them over and over
  • I feel overwhelmed
  • sometimes when I'm put on the spot, my brain seems to freeze

this is just a sampling of some of the things that I hear my clients say. You certainly don't have to have all of these to know how disruptive they can be to your life, career, relationships and overall happiness.
